Our Southern Jewel Round Trip is a 14 day bike tour through the scenic wonderland that is
the South Island of New Zealand.
The bike tour commences in Christchurch, the Garden City of New Zealand, traversing the Canterbury
Plains and the rolling countryside, forests and the tussock lands of the Mackenzie Country. You'll bike past
sparkling southern lakes and breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, passing
through historic goldmining towns before arriving in Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand. The
second half of the tour crosses the hill country along Lakes Hawea and Wanaka. You will then travel to
the West Coast, experiencing dense rain forest, national heritage parks, and the dramatic Fox and Franz
Josef glaciers. Your tour concludes with a romantic train journey aboard the world-renowned
TranzAlpine Express, traversing the scenic splendour of the Southern Alps to Christchurch.
