Day Two - Christchurch to Twizel: Alps2Ocean

We leave Christchurch early and drive south through the Canterbury Plains heading towards Lake Tekapo, where we get ready for our first ride.  Starting on the edge of the lake famous for its turquoise waters, the ride takes in golden tussock land, surreal blue canals, and one of the trail’s best lookouts overlooking Lake Pukaki and the Southern Alps.  We then ride to our destination of Twizel for the night.

Cycling: Alps 2 Ocean (A2O) - Lake Tekapo to Twizel (54km) Grade 2/Easy

Day Three - Twizel to Clyde: Alps2Ocean

After breakfast, we get on our bikes and continue on the next leg of the A2O to the edge of Lake Ohau. The final day on the trails! We will also offer an option today for those who are riding at more of a beginner level, to spend a day on the Otago Rail Trail instead.
